LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful athletes of all time. He is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James has won four NBA championships as well as four NBA MVPs Three All-Star MVPs, along with the two Olympic medals. James has scored more points in the playoffs. He has the second most points in his career and has the seventh-highest number of career assists. He was named to be an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named to his place on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. The third-highest number of NBA Finals ever was ten which included eight consecutive games between 2011 and 2018. James was selected to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. He was the NBA's first player to score 10,000 points, rebounds and assist in 2022. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High school in Akron in Ohio. The school was recognized by the national press as the future NBA superstar. In 2003 it was the year that his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first during the NBA draft as a prep-topro. In 2004, he was named NBA Rookie. He quickly established himself as one of the top league athletes, winning the NBA MVP in both the years 2009 and 2010. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when he became a Free Agent following his inability to win the title with Cleveland. The announcement of his departure was broadcast in The Decision.
