Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress. Her debut was on the large screen with Sex Traffic by Channel 4 in which she won the British Academy Television Award was given for the Best Actress. Fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father is a theater professor at one of Romania's most prestigious drama schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 in The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. In 2008, she was honoured as an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She also appeared in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim Anwar on the BBC Five-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the film Fury (2014) the actress appeared as Irma, a German woman who served as Emma's aunt.
