Garena's Garena Premier League (GPL) was launched in the month of May. It is a professional online gaming competition that lasts six months and includes more than 100 games. The inaugural season of GPL features six teams comprised of professional League of Legends players. Teams are composed of the top players in their respective countries. GPL games are recorded and streamed on the internet with commentary. They are accessible to viewers on the GPL's official site. The first month of January in 2015, Garena launched Iron Solari League the first women's League of Legends tournament in the Philippines. It's a monthly tournament which is played in the second part of each month. The goal of this event is to promote the participation of under-represented groups and is accessible to all women who identify the same. Garena not only organizes tournaments but also organizes offline gatherings and events that allow users to meet.
